Our Story
Built on Curiosity. Driven by Passion.
DDAntiques began the way most good things do — with a deep love for objects that carry history, and a stubborn refusal to let beautiful things disappear.
How It Started
From Weekend Markets to Main Street
It started with a single find at a Sunday morning estate sale — a Georgian silver sugar caster, tarnished and overlooked, priced at almost nothing. That piece changed everything. We cleaned it, researched it, and fell completely in love with the story behind it.
What began as a weekend hobby — scouring markets, auctions, and private collections across the region — grew into something we couldn't ignore. After years of buying and selling from our dining room table, we opened the doors on Main Street and never looked back.
"Every piece has a story. We just help it find its next chapter."
How We Work
Every Piece Is Chosen With Care
We're not interested in filling shelves. Every item in the shop has been personally selected — for its quality, its condition, its provenance, and the story it tells. If we wouldn't be proud to have it in our own home, it doesn't make the cut.
We spend a lot of time at estate sales, regional auctions, and private viewings. We also maintain relationships with a network of collectors and dealers who know what we're looking for. The result is an inventory that changes regularly and rewards repeat visits.
What We Stand For
The Principles Behind the Shop
Authenticity
We stand behind every piece we sell. Provenance is documented where available, and we're always honest about condition.
Curation
Quality over quantity, always. We'd rather have thirty exceptional pieces than three hundred ordinary ones.
Knowledge
We've spent years learning. We're happy to share what we know — about a piece, a period, or the history behind an object you already own.
Community
We love this town and the people in it. The shop is a place to browse, to learn, and to connect with others who share a love of the past.
Come and Say Hello
We'd love to meet you. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just beginning to develop an eye, you're always welcome to browse, ask questions, and stay as long as you like.
